Situated deep in unspoilt countryside and within easy reach of Bleasdale fells and the Trough of Bowland, it is also close to the Lancaster canal. An ideal place to stop off after country walks or cycling, a place of real beauty, yet conveniently only a few miles from Preston itself. The hotel was built as a public house in 1856 and has a very attractive appearance, almost like a stately home. Enjoy the beautiful views from the garden in summer or a cosy evening by a real log fire in winter. Our comfortable en-suite bedrooms and wholesome English breakfast are a must for a break away from the city, with a lively local pub atmosphere in the evenings. Travelling from Preston towards Garstang on the A6, turn right onto the B6430, then turn right at Calder House Lane, carry on and go over the canal bridge, then under the railway bridge and you will find us on the left hand side.
